6th June Savitri Vrat 2024: Auspicious time
According to the Vedic calendar, the Jyeshtha Amavasya Tithi for Vat Savitri Vrat starts at 7:54 PM on June 5 and ends at 6:07 PM on June 6. The fast will be observed on Thursday, June 6, as Udayatithi is considered for the fast.
On the day of Vat Savitri Vrat, Brahma Muhurat is from 4:02 AM to 4:42 AM. The auspicious Muhurta, or Abhijeet Muhurta, is from 11:52 AM to 12:48 PM.
On this day, Dhriti Yoga lasts until 10:09 PM, after which Shool Yoga begins. Rohini Nakshatra lasts until 8:16 PM, followed by Mrigashira Nakshatra.
Do Savitri Vrat in this way, marital life will be happy
On Vat Savitri Vrat, gather these items: a picture or statue of Goddess Savitri and Satyavan, the Vat Savitri Vrat story, cotton, banyan fruit, a fan made of bamboo, red powder, fruits, flowers, sandalwood paste, a lamp, fragrances like scent and perfume, incense, materials for weddings, a 1.25-meter cloth, sweet snacks like batasha, betel nut, fried bread, jaggery, soaked chickpeas, peanuts, home-cooked meals, a container, makhana (fox nuts), a coconut, and sweets. You’ll also need a banyan tree for worship.
Legend has it that Goddess Savitri saved her husband Satyavan’s life from Yamraj, the god of death. This happened on Jyeshtha Amavasya, which is why people observe Vat Savitri Vrat on this day. Because of this story, people believe that Savitri became immortal. Satyavan was brought back to life under a banyan tree. That’s why, during this fast, people worship both the banyan tree and Savitri, praying for long and happy lives for their spouses.
