KS Rajanna faced a lot of physical challenges, he has dedicated his life to supporting and empowering others with disabilities.

President Draupadi Murmu honoured Dr KS Rajanna with the Padma Shri award for his dedicated work in supporting people with disabilities. Dr. Rajanna, despite facing his own challenges, is committed to helping others. He greeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi before receiving the award from President Murmu at the ceremony.
During the event, a soldier helped to Dr. Rajanna, but he politely declined, preferring to do all the things by himself. He then went to President Murmu with respect, accepted the award, and expressed his gratitude. Once again, when offered help, Dr. Rajanna politely refused, showcasing his self-reliance and determination.

At just 11 years old, Dr. Rajanna faced a difficult challenge when he lost his hands and feet to polio. Despite his problems, he never got demotivated and started helping others. Dr KS Rajanna found inspiration in his own body and decided to dedicate himself to helping others with disabilities.
Dr. Rajanna’s journey into social service began with his own experiences. In 2013, the government of Karnataka appointed him as the State Commissioner for the Disabled. Despite facing obstacles, he worked tirelessly in this role. However, his tenure was cut short before completion, only to be reinstated later.
President Droupadi Murmu recently presented the Padma Awards during a ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, and other dignitaries attended the event, honouring individuals like Dr. Rajanna for their remarkable contributions.
