CM Naveen Patnaik challenged: BJD will form the govt in Odisha for 6th time
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik of Odisha declared that his party, the BJD, will continue to rule the state for the next five years, making it the sixth consecutive term. He responded to PM Narendra Modi’s statement about a BJP chief minister’s swearing-in ceremony in Odisha.
Patnaik firmly stated that the BJP wouldn’t win Odisha’s people over in the next decade, dismissing Modi’s prediction about June 10. Patnaik said that the BJD knows that they will only make government in Odisha.
Patnaik also raised the issue of why Biju Patnaik, a famous person in Odisha’s history, was not considered for the Bharat Ratna. He asked why deserving people from Odisha, including Biju Patnaik, don’t get these prestigious awards.
Patnaik reminded the public of the BJP’s past promises and highlighted the BJD’s long-standing governance in Odisha for 24 years. Patnaik also said that the people of Odisha were aware of both parties’ track records and would vote only for the party which they wanted.
PM Modi remembers Odisha only during elections, he always forgets Odisha: Said Naveen Pattnaik
At a rally on May 12, BJD leader Naveen Patnaik criticised Prime Minister Modi. He said Modi only thinks about Odisha during elections and forgets about it afterwards. Patnaik also said Modi doesn’t keep his promises and doesn’t support the Odia language.
Patnaik should have taken Modi’s prediction seriously. Patnaik said, “Nothing will happen on June 10. The BJP won’t win the people’s support in the next 10 years, not even on June 10. The BJD will keep leading Odisha for the sixth time.”
