Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor has been appointed as Unicef India’s National Ambassador. She first joined the organization as a Celebrity Advocate in 2014. At her recent appointment ceremony on May 4, 2024, Kareena became emotional and shed tears while speaking on stage. This new role is another proud moment in Kapoor’s successful career.

On May 4, Kareena shared her happiness about becoming the National Ambassador for UNICEF India on Instagram. Kareena said that she is very passionate about helping children and women in need. She wants to make sure that every child gets everything. Kareena mentioned her ten years with UNICEF India, calling it a wonderful journey.
Kareena posted an Instagram post where she said, “Today is a special day for me. I feel lucky to be chosen as UNICEF India’s National Ambassador. Working with @unicefindia for ten years has been amazing. I promise everyone to keep fighting for children’s rights”
Kareena also thanked her team, who is working day and night for women’s and children’s rights in India. Kareena said that she will keep working hard with UNICEF and said, “Thank you to the team working hard for women’s and children’s rights”. Your work inspires me every day, and I’m excited to keep working together.”

Kareena joined UNICEF in 2014 and served as a Celebrity Advocate for 10 years. After Becoming Ambassador, Kareena said, “Children’s rights are very important.
