Srinivas Pallia is now the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director from 7th April 2024. This change happened right away, as mentioned in a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). Pallia is taking over from the previous CEO, Thierry Delaporte, who decided to step down after being in the role for four years.
Wipro appoints Srinivas after Thierry Delaporte resigns
Thierry Delaporte, who became Wipro’s CEO and Managing Director on July 6, 2020, has decided to step down from his role to pursue other interests. Delaporte had experience from his previous position at Capgemini Group, where he worked as CEO and was a member of the executive board for 25 years.
After Delaporte’s resignation, Srinivas Pallia is selected as the new CEO and Managing director. Pallia has been with Wipro for over three decades. Previously he used to work for Americas 1 as a CEO, where he oversees important markets. Pallia’s promotion shows Wipro’s confidence in his leadership skills.

Srinivas Pallia embarked on his journey with Wipro in 1992, and since then, he has held various leadership positions within the company. He notably served as the President of Wipro’s Consumer Business Unit and the Global Head of Business Application Services. Pallia helped in growing Wipro gaining more customers.
Being part of Wipro’s top team, Pallia helped decide what the company should do and how to do it. The executives noticed his hard work and leadership, and he was even recognized as one of India’s top 25 young business leaders by Business Today in 2008.
Pallia taking over as Wipro’s CEO and MD marks the start of a fresh chapter for the company. Pallia will grow Wipro better than the previous CEO. He has a good amount of experience and unique ideas to grow Wipro. Pallia’s main focus would be on growing the company’s value and benefitting the shareholders of the company. This includes the employees, directors, and other invested people.

Pallia completed his bachelor’s degree in engineering and a master’s in management studies from the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore. Then Pallia went to Harvard Business School and McGill Executive Institute for special training.
