In another problem for Baba Ramdev’s company, Patanjali, the Uttarakhand government stopped selling 14 products from Patanjali’s Divya Pharmacy. This happened during a time when there was already trouble over misleading advertisements.
Uttarakhand govt suspends these 14 products for Patanjali misleading ads
The Uttarakhand government has taken a big step against Patanjali’s Divya Pharmacy. They stopped 14 products from being made because the ads for these products were not honest. Baba Ramdev, who started Patanjali, has been having problems with the Supreme Court because of these ads. The court has been watching a case about Patanjali spreading false ads.
The Indian Medical Association thinks Patanjali is not being fair to regular medicines. They also say Patanjali is not doing what the court told them to do about the ads. Even though the court told Patanjali to stop the fake ads, they kept making them. Because of this, the Uttarakhand government had to take action. They stopped Patanjali from making some products.
The manufacturing licenses for several Patanjali products have been suspended by the Uttarakhand government. Here’s a list of these products:
- Swasari Gold
- Swasari Vati
- Bronchom
- Swasari Pravahi
- Swasari Avaleh
- Mukta Vati Extra Power
- Lipidom
- Bp Grit
- Madhugrit
- Madhunashini Vati Extra Power
- Livamrit Advance
- Livogrit
- Eyegrit Gold

Baba Ramdev apologized to the Supreme Court for Patanjali Misleading ads
Baba Ramdev got in trouble for saying he could cure Covid-19 and for talking badly about modern medicine. The Indian Medical Association (IMA) didn’t like what he said. They called modern medicine “stupid and bankrupt science.” Dr R V Asokan, the head of IMA, said Ramdev’s words were not good for the country. Ramdev claimed 20,000 doctors died from the COVID-19 vaccine, which was not true.
Ramdev, along with Patanjali Ayurved and Balkrishna, had to apologize to the Supreme Court for running ads that weren’t true. They said sorry during a court case on April 16. But then, on April 23, the Supreme Court asked them to show the ads where they apologized. This shows that even big names like Patanjali have to follow the rules.
The Supreme Court wants to hear more about the apology ads on Tuesday, April 30. This whole situation is a reminder that advertising should be honest. Spreading false information during a health crisis can cause a lot of problems. People trust what big companies say, so they need to be careful with their words.
