In the caption of the post where Dolly shared this video on his Instagram account “Dolly ki Tapri Nagpur”, and he wrote, “Went to the top of Burj Khalifa to have a coffee.”
Dolly, who has become famous on Instagram, also does brand endorsements now. He was in Dubai with the wealthy owners of Zam Zam Electronics, a store that sells various types of electronic devices. The owners, known as ‘Bade Bhai and Chhote Bhai,’ often invite influencers like Dolly from all over the world to be in their videos. They made content in various places in Dubai, with Dolly being one of the features.
After serving tea to Bill Gates, Dolly Chaiwala became quite famous
In February 2024, Dolly became famous online when Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft, shared a video of himself having tea from Dolly’s stall in Nagpur.
The clip started with Gates ordering “one chai” from Dolly’s cart. Then, Dolly made a special tea in his unique way. In the end, Gates was seen enjoying the hot tea from a glass and even took a photo with Dolly.
Since then, the Dolly-Billgates video has been viewed more than 148 million times. Gates captioned the video, saying, “In India, you can find innovation everywhere you turn—even in the preparation of a simple cup of tea!”
