7th Pay Commission Revised for Central govt employees
The 7th Pay Commission has been modified for central government employees. The changes in rules mean there will be more benefits for the government employees. Retired employees will also get these benefits. The new 7th Pay commission will ensure that the employees will get good wages and a better work environment.
What are the revised benefits?
There are 6 allowances have been revised for central govt employees. All revised benefits are described below:
Children Education Allowance (CEA):
CEA helps central government employees with their children’s education. They can get it for their two eldest surviving children, along with a hostel subsidy of Rs 6,750 per month. Children with disabilities get double the amount, which is Rs 4,500 per month.
When the Dearness Allowance (DA) goes up by 50%, the CEA rate also increases by 25%. This allowance is for children studying from three classes before class one to 12th standard.
Risk Allowance:
This allowance is for central government employees who do risky work or jobs that may harm their health over time. It’s not counted as part of their regular pay.
Night Duty Allowance (NDA):
NDA is for work done between 10 PM and 6 AM. For every hour of night duty, employees get a 10-minute bonus. The maximum NDA amount is Rs 43,600 per month.
Over Time Allowance (OTA):
There’s no increase in OTA rates for ‘Operational Staff’. Grant of OTA can be linked to biometric attendance.
Special Allowance Payable to Parliament Assistants:
This allowance is for people who work in Parliament during sessions. The rates have been increased by 50% from the previous levels.
Special Allowance for Child Care for Women with Disabilities:
Women with disabilities get Rs 3,000 per month for child care until their child turns two. This amount goes up by 25% whenever the Dearness Allowance (DA) rises by 50%. This is for helping women with disabilities take care of their young children.
The new 7th pay commission allowances are really important because they help employees with their money needs for different things. They make sure workers are okay and can focus on their jobs without worrying too much about extra costs or expenses that might come up.
