The Royal Malaysian Navy said that 10 people passed away in a sad accident. It happened during a practice for a parade when two helicopters crashed into each other in the air on Tuesday, April 23rd.

Around 09:30 local time in the Malaysian town of Lumut, two helicopters crashed into each other during a military practice for a Royal Malaysian Navy parade. Sadly, all ten people onboard both helicopters died in the accident.

One helicopter, a HOM M503-3, had seven people on board, while the other, a Fennec M502-6, carried three. The HOM helicopter is thought to have crashed onto the stairs at the TLDM stadium, while the Fennec helicopter crashed into a nearby swimming pool.
Malaysia helicopter crashed during rehearsal
According to Defense Minister Mohamed Khaled Nordin, the helicopters were practicing for the Royal Malaysian Navy’s 90th-anniversary parade, set for Saturday. He said they’re figuring out who the victims are, all under 40 years old.
A video online shows helicopters flying, and two of them get really close before one hits the other.
The crash happened close to the ground, and both helicopters crashed right after. The Navy will form a group to find out what caused the crash. They’ll look at everything to understand how it happened and prevent similar accidents in the future.
