Ganesh comes from Talaja taluka in Bhavnagar district, Gujarat, India. His parents, Devuben (53) and Viththal bhai (58) noticed something strange when Ganesh was only four years old,his head was growing bigger than his body.
They visited doctors, but the news was disheartening—Ganesh had a condition that couldn’t be cured. Feeling helpless, they turned to prayers and even tried unusual methods, like placing a tub on his head to slow its growth.
Viththal, Ganesh’s father, works as a farmer, earning a modest income of Rs 100-200 per day. When someone offered to buy Ganesh for Rs. 1,00,000 in a circus as a clown, Viththal was torn.
He worried about Ganesh’s safety and decided to stay by his side everywhere, even at school, where Ganesh dreamed of becoming a doctor.
It was a tough decision for Viththal, but he prioritized Ganesh’s well-being above all else.

Even though Ganesh faced many challenges, he stayed determined to become a doctor. With help from Dalpat, he did well in school, especially in the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET).
Because of his good grades, he got accepted into a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree (MBBS) program at Bhavnagar Medical College, Gujrat, India.
Ganesh worked hard to achieve his dream of becoming a doctor, despite the difficulties he faced along the way. At the age of 22, in March 2024 Ganesh completed his MBBS & became a doctor.

Ganesh, who weighs only 18 kg and has a 72% locomotive handicap due to dwarfism, manages his duties as an intern with remarkable maturity.
He dedicated all his time to studying and displayed signs of high intelligence from a young age. While some students made fun of him, others showed kindness by helping him carry his bag and accompanying him to the restroom.
They understood that due to his condition, he might have difficulty walking properly and could need assistance.

Ganesh, who comes from Gorkhi village in Bhavnagar district, had a tough time becoming a doctor.
He did well in his school exams, scoring 87% in Class 12 and 233 in the NEET test. But in 2018, the government in Gujarat said no to him joining the MBBS course, along with two other students with disabilities.
Ganesh didn’t give up. He went to the Supreme Court, and they said yes under a special law for people with disabilities.
Luckily, Ganesh had support from Dalpat and money to pay for the court case, around Rs.4,00,000.
Even though Ganesh is small and faces physical challenges, he did great in medical school. He joined in with other activities and everyone looked up to him.
Dr Hemant Mehta, who runs Bhavnagar Medical College, said Ganesh could be one of the world’s shortest doctors.
Ganesh’s story shows that even when things are tough, you can still reach your dreams if you keep trying. He’s an inspiration to everyone who faces difficulties.

Ganesh’s mother is a house maker & Ganesh’s dad, Vithal, works as a farmer and usually earns Rs. 100-200 a day. Ganesh has eight siblings, including seven sisters who are now married.
They never went to school beyond Class 10. Ganesh is the first one in his family to attend college.
