Prime Minister Narendra Modi introduced 10 new Vande Bharat trains on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, making India’s trains better.
Now, there are over 50 of these special trains covering 45 routes all over the country. The Vande Bharat Express is famous for being fast, comfortable, and good for the environment.
Right now, Indian Railways runs 41 Vande Bharat Express trains. These trains go through 24 states and connect 256 districts. They help make travel easier and cleaner in India.

- Mysuru-Dr. MGR Central (Chennai) Vande Bharat Express
- Patna-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express
- New Jalpaiguri-Patna Vande Bharat Express
- Puri-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express
- Lucknow-Dehradun Vande Bharat Express
- Kalaburagi-Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express
- Ranchi-Varanasi Vande Bharat Express
- Khajuraho-Delhi (Nizamuddin) Vande Bharat Express
These new routes will make it easier for people to travel between these cities and regions, making journeys more convenient for everyone.
City and Routes Covered of 10 Vande Bharat Express Train
The expansion of Vande Bharat Express services is great news for travellers across India.
It means more trains on important routes like Dehradun to Lucknow, Patna to Lucknow, and New Jalpaiguri to Patna. Additionally, it links cities such as Bhubaneswar with Visakhapatnam, Kalaburagi with Bengaluru, Ranchi with Varanasi, and Khajuraho with Delhi.
Excitingly, more Vande Bharat trains are coming to cities like Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Secunderabad, Visakhapatnam, Bengaluru, and Chennai. This expansion will make it easier for people to travel between these cities.
Saurabh Prasad, the Divisional Railway Manager of Waltair Division, shared that two new Vande Bharat trains are about to start running.
One will travel between Visakhapatnam and Bhubaneswar, while the other will connect Visakhapatnam with Secunderabad.
Vande Bharat Express Train Extensions to be flagged off today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also flag off the extensions of four Vande Bharat trains on Tuesday.
- Ahmedabad-Jamnagar Vande Bharat is being extended till Dwarka
- Ajmer- Delhi Sarai Rohilla Vande Bharat is being extended till Chandigarh
- Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat is being extended till Prayagraj
- Thiruvananthapuram- Kasargod Vande Bharat is being extended till Mangaluru
