Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the “Startup Mahakumbh” at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Wednesday, March 20.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a statement on March 20. He mentioned that India has the third-largest startup ecosystem globally. The youth lead this ecosystem in India.
PM Modi said, India’s startup ecosystem is thriving at an unprecedented pace. The youth are driving this growth in India’s startup ecosystem.
It is not just confined to big cities. It has evolved into a social culture.
Modi highlighted the startup ecosystem. He stated how the mindset has shifted from “job seekers” to “job creators.”
The Prime Minister made the following statement: “India is creating a roadmap to become a developed country.”
“We have made the right decisions at the right time.”
India’s Largest Startup Event-Startup Mahakumbh’s Aim
According to a statement from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Startup Mahakumbh is India’s largest startup event.
It boasts unprecedented participation. The event serves as a dynamic platform for all players in India’s startup ecosystem.
The Ministry underlined the significance of the event. It will promote growth in emerging sectors, including deep tech, agritech, biotech, MedTech, AI, and gaming.
The Startup Mahakumbh was jointly organized by the Bootstrap Incubation and Advisory Foundation and leading industry associations, including the Indian Venture and Alternative Capital Association (IVCA).
The event was supported by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).
The event aimed at promoting innovation and entrepreneurship across the country.
It attracted a lot of interest from leading investors, innovators, and budding entrepreneurs.
With over 2000 start-ups, there were over 1000 investors. With over 100 unicorns, there were over 300 incubators and accelerators. Over 3000 conference participants attended.
Over 10 country delegations were present. There were over 3000 future entrepreneurs. Over 50000 business visitors were in attendance.
According to the ministry’s statement. the ministry reported that there was a vibrant environment for collaboration and networking.
Startup Mahakumbh Event’s Important Role
During the three-day event: Renowned industry leaders and policymakers addressed the participants.
They emphasized the important role of start-ups in India’s economic growth and development.
The event showcased the innovation in various sectors. It featured 10 themed pavilions: DeepTech, AI & SaaS, FinTech, AgriTech, Biotech & Pharma, Climate Tech, Gaming & E-Sports, D2C, B2B, and Manufacturing & Incubators.
