Kaziranga National Park Assam:-On March 9, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi did something very special. He went on a fun trip to Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve.
This was the first time a sitting Prime Minister visited this special place, which is like a natural treasure for India. Kaziranga is so important that it’s even recognized by UNESCO.
PM Modi Visited Kaziranga National Park Assam Today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a fun adventure in Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve in Assam. Early on a Saturday morning, 9 March 2024 he went on both an elephant and a jeep safari.
First, he rode on an elephant in the Mihimukh area of the Central Kohora Range in the park. Then, he hopped onto a jeep for another safari in the same area.
The Prime Minister wasn’t alone; he was joined by Sonali Ghosh, the park director, and other important forest officials.
It sounds like they had a great time exploring the wild beauty of Kaziranga together! Even before the visit, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma was super excited.
He said that PM Modi exploring Kaziranga would be a big deal and make history.

In a nice moment, the Prime Minister shared a picture of himself giving sugarcane to elephants named Lakhimai, Pradyumna, and Phoolmai.
He was amazed by all the different kinds of animals at Kaziranga. He said, “Kaziranga is famous for rhinos, but there are also many elephants and other animals.”
After that, he went on social media, like Facebook or Twitter, and invited everyone to visit Kaziranga National Park. He wanted people to have a special time there.
The Prime Minister didn’t just talk about the park’s beauty; he also mentioned how friendly the people in Assam are. He wanted more people to come and enjoy nature while also helping to take care of it.
It’s like he said, “Hey, come to Kaziranga, see the amazing animals, and feel the warmth of Assam’s people!”

Kaziranga National Park is in Assam, and it’s one of India’s oldest places to protect nature.
The forest department of the Assam State Government takes care of it. It’s like a safe home for many different plants and animals, especially the big four – Rhino, Elephant, Royal Bengal Tiger, and Asiatic Water Buffalo.
People work hard to keep these special animals safe, and in 2018 consensus, they counted how many there were.
They found 2,413 rhinos and around 1,100 elephants, which is really good news! It means the efforts to help and protect these amazing animals are working well in Kaziranga.
