PM Modi Tribute to Martyr on 23 March Shaheed Diwas 2024

Shaheed Diwas is celebrated on 23 March. This day is celebrated to commemorate the hanging of three freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Shivram Rajguru, and Sukhdev Thapar by the British government.

23 March Shaheed Diwas 2024

Like every year Shaheed Diwas is celebrated in India on 23 March 2024. This day is celebrated to remember the sacrifices of the freedom fighters of the country India.

Brave men sacrificed their lives for India’s freedom and end their lives.

The British ruled India for two hundred years. They inflicted terror, atrocities, and trauma on the countrymen.

Many people took advantage of the opportunity and joined the freedom movement.

They did this with the aim of freeing Mother India from British rule.

Their efforts aimed to free the country from the shackles of British rule.

One of the martyr days is celebrated on 30 January.

This is the day when the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated by Nathuram Godse.

Martyrs’ Day is celebrated on several days every year.

23 March Shaheed Diwas is celebrated to remember the three sacrifices of freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Shivram Rajguru, and Sukhdev Thapar.

This day commemorates the trio who were hanged for the murder of British police officer J.P. Saunders.

23 March Shaheed Diwas History

Bhagat Singh, Shivram Rajguru, and Sukhdev Thapar were known for their courageous exploits. They inspired the youth of the country.

On 8 April 1929, they raised the slogan “Inquilab Zindabad”. That day they threw bombs at the Central Legislative Assembly.

Soon after the incident, they were arrested and charged with murder.

In the end, On 23 March 1931, Bhagat Singh, Shivram Rajguru, and Sukhdev Thapar were hanged as punishment for their crimes.
