He is on an ambitious journey to establish the world’s largest zoo and animal rescue and rehabilitation center. The initiative, named Vantara (Star of the Forest), is a comprehensive program aimed at rescuing, treating, caring for, and rehabilitating injured, abused, and threatened animals, not only in India but globally.

Facilities in Anant Ambani’s Vantara
Vantara is over an expansive 3,000 acres within the Green Belt of Reliance’s Jamnagar Refinery Complex in Gujarat. The facility boasts a zoo with over 100 species of animals. Its main focus lies in the rescue center, which houses over 200 elephants. The centre is managed by a team of 3,000 individuals who are deeply committed to the cause.

Ananta Ambani’s Vantara is also Elephants Shelter
The Centre for Elephants at Vantara provides shelter to over 200 elephants. They will get good care from a team of over 500 people. It includes veterinarians, biologists, pathologists, nutritionists, and naturalists. The center features a 25,000-square-foot elephant hospital, one of the largest in the world. Also, a 14,000-square-foot kitchen is dedicated to preparing a curated diet for each elephant.
Vantara is the Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation Center
Vantara’s Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre, spanning 650 acres within the Jamnagar refinery, addresses the needs of various wild animals. The staff, numbering around 200, takes care of rescued leopards, crocodiles, and other wild animals and reptiles. The facility also includes a one lakh square foot hospital and a medical research center.
Ananta Ambani’s Vantara is Ecosystem and Conservation Program
Vantara’s ecosystem aims to provide a better life for over 200 elephants, 300 large felines, and 300 herbivores, along with more than 1,200 reptiles. The Rescue & Rehabilitation Centre currently oversees 2,000+ animals across 43 species. The initiative is about rescue and care and involves conservation breeding programs for seven endangered species. The objective is to establish viable reserve populations for repopulating endangered species in their native habitats.

Highlighting their commitment to ethical practices, Vantara ensures that all rescued animals are brought in after obtaining the necessary approvals from the Chief Wildlife Wardens, the Central Zoo Authority, and other relevant authorities.
